Oh dear – oh dear – we sure did neglect this website for a few months. We've been really busy beside other projects with writing, editing and designing our second major book – Made & Sold – that will be released by Laurence King Publishing in 2009.

There sure are many projects we need to add to our online showcase but until we do so here a few brief newsflashs:

We just released the seventh Stereohype series from our ongoing B.I.O. (by invitation only) button badge initiative.
B.I.O.7 also includes FL@33 goodies of course.
Also at Stereohype: the
fifth annual button badge design competition is now open to the public and we look forward to receiving submissions by 16th February 2009.

We have had quite a bit of press in the last months but would like to highlight two for the time being: we contributed work to the second issue of art zine
Good vs. Evil and its current theme Man vs. Animal – but hurry – only 100 copies available! Also noteworthy is a 2/3 page review in German Page magazine of our POSTCARD book that was released only a couple of months ago. See www.postcard-book.info – the dedicated website where you can find excerpts and previews.

We knew something was up yesterday. Our server acted up suspiciously and today we had a few minutes to find out what happened. Turns out that our award-winning sound collection bzzzpeek.com is experiencing a new wave of popularity and we are over the moon. Yesterday alone we had an additional 7500 unique bzzzpeek.com visitors to the usually about 2000. No wonder our server was smoking at an additional 4 gigabyte bandwidth in one day generated by 1,295,359 hits. A big THANK YOU to the nice guys over at VSL – veryshortlist.com who featured our project yesterday and another big THANK YOU to everybody who has been in touch since yesterday with suggestions and encouraging messages. We will be replying to every single one – even though this will probably take a few days...

We received our advance copies of POSTCARD – a book compiled, written and designed by FL@33 – a few days ago including the original English edition (Laurence King) but also the German, French and Spanish ones (DuMont, Pyramyd and Gustavo Gili respectively). Postcard, Cartes Postales or Postales as the Spanish called it will hit the international book shelves in a few days. We are very excited and can't wait to have a few first reactions on the book. The book can already be pre-ordered and links to shops but also excerpts and previews can be found over at www.postcard-book.info – the dedicated website we recently launched.

September 10th, 2008
We would like to thank all those designers and artists out there who submitted their great work to our second major book project: Made and Sold. The official deadline for submissions has now passed and the selection process is in full swing. Selected individuals, studios and collectives will be notified in the next couple of months.

August 22nd, 2008
We are currently sourcing material for our new book Made and Sold: Graphic Designer's Sidelines (working title) to be published worldwide in 2009 by Laurence King Publishing.
Please find info and submission guidelines over at stereohype.com. Extended deadline: September 1st, 2008
Thanks so much for all the amazing submissions we received already!
