FEDRIGONI 365 | CALENDAR 2025 | DESIGN COMPENDIUM
Following FL@33's seven previous contributions to the Fedrigoni 365 calendars in 2018, 2019, 2020, 202120222023 and 2024 by Italian paper company Fedrigoni, FL@33's Tomi Vollauschek was kindly included for an eighth year running, as one of the very few contributors to all calendars so far.
___ Tomi Vollauschek contributed a visual interpretation of a specific, randomly allocated date in 2025.
___ Together all the many hundreds of contributions by artists, designers and studios form the beautifully designed calendar 2025 and design compendium Fedrigoni 365 (2025).

FL@33 CONTRIBUTION | 1 July 2024
| 1⊘7
Responding to the allocated prompt “Timeless,” Tomi created a very minimal artwork for the Opposites design-themed publication – a typographic experiment for the date 1 July. Dark book: Silver on black

PROJECT DESCRIPTION | 2017–ongoing
Fedrigoni 365, designed by TM for Fedrigoni UK, started in 2017 as an unprecedented collaboration involving designers, illustrators and photographers from throughout the UK, gathered together by an open call for entries.
___ Now in its seventh year, the book has once again managed to pull together hundreds of creative masterminds.
Previous editions of the publication have put the spotlight on select stocks from Fedrigoni’s vast range of papers, from an entirely black book in 2018 to a completely white edition in 2019. This was followed by a recycled rainbow of colours in 2020, a digitally randomised explosion of colours in 2021, a multi-volume publication in 2022 to a shades of red Love-themed edition in 2023In 2024, the publication was digitally printed and centered on the theme of Generative Uniqueness. While 2025 saw the project return to its roots with a silver-on-black-and-white approach – this time featuring double the number of contributors, with two contributions for each date.

Theme |

The overarching theme for this year’s Fedrigoni 365 is ‘opposites.’ This edition consists of two volumes housed in a slipcase. Each volume features designs inspired by opposing seed words. For each date, you’ll find a juxtaposition of two creatives’ works on opposite themes, one in each book. Participants won’t see the opposing design until the edition launches in November.

Brief | Please consider the seed word along with the number that has been allocated to you in the body of the email you will recieve.
___ Your design can be influenced by anything to do with your assigned number, date or time of year, but please keep in mind that we want this to be a book of numbers, influenced by your seed word. Your allocated number should be a core element of your design.
___ For example, if you are given 7 February and the seed word ‘DOWN’, you will be expected to design the number 7 through your interpretation of the word ‘DOWN’.
___ Please do NOT include ordinal indicators, i.e. do NOT include abbreviations such as ‘nd’, ‘th’, ‘rd’ or ‘st’ in your design.
